The New Orleans out-of-home market
New Orleans ranked #28 among U.S. markets for out-of-home advertising spend in 2025, at about $44 million according to MediaRadar data published by the OAAA. (That figure covers all out-of-home formats, not just mobile billboards.)
Where trucks typically run
Common targets in New Orleans include the Warehouse District and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Central Business District around Caesars Superdome, Canal Street, Magazine Street, and Uptown along St. Charles Avenue outside parade times. The best route depends on your audience, schedule and what local rules allow.
New Orleans is a smaller advertising market by spend, but it has one of the country's densest festival and convention calendars. Most campaigns are timed to a specific event week rather than running all year.

Local rules to know
French Quarter limits: the city code (Sec. 154-1522) bars vehicles, trucks and trailers over 36 feet in overall length from the Vieux Carré without a special Department of Public Works permit. It also says trucks may not drive or park on sidewalks or curbs there. Elsewhere, vehicles with more than two axles must stay on designated truck routes, except for the shortest route to and from a destination. Parade days bring street closures and detours. Check local ordinances and confirm routes and truck size with your operator.
This is general information, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm current requirements with your operator and the local authority before you book.
Typical costs
Typical day rates reported by industry pricing guides are roughly $500–$2,400 for static trucks and $800–$5,000+ for LED trucks, for a standard 8-hour day. Large, high-demand markets often fall toward the upper end, especially on major event dates. These are general ranges, not quotes. See mobile billboard cost for what affects price.
